Better at home ?

We are exclusively a mobile Veterinary Practice. Our focus is on senior pets, their specific needs and challenges and their last chapter of life as well as their graceful departure.   For many senior pets, in-home care is the best way to meet their health needs. Older dogs and cats can struggle making it to the veterinarian and often have a stressful experience. We are passionate about providing quality in-home care because of the way it can transform the value of veterinary care for older pets. Instead of trying to fit everything in a 15-minute exam, we can take the needed time be thorough, understanding and relevant. And to educate our pet parent clients about what’s going on with their pets. We can see your pet’s home environment and point out adjustments you can make to improve their quality of life and avoid risks. We can examine your pet when they are calm so that we can get a much better baseline for their health and behavior and make sure they receive gold-standard care at home.

We understand how hard it is to see your pet grow old and begin to show signs of suffering. When their end nears, we aim to ensure their final moments are peaceful, pain-free, and surrounded by family at home. Our goal is to provide a dignified farewell for your furry friends, guiding you through this tough journey with compassion. We strive to make their last chapter as comfortable and serene as possible.

What to expect:

Service is provided within the agreed timeframe. After a brief familiarization period and confirmation of the decision, a sedative is administered to reduce anxiety or fear. Pain medications are given as needed. Euthanasia will not be performed without a sedative or pain medications. Once the pet is ready, an IV catheter is placed and the final injection is administered. After the injection, time can be spent with the pet. If individual cremation is chosen, it will be performed, and a clay paw print will be returned along with the ashes (individual cremation).

How to prepare:

Ensure both the pet and pet-parents are comfortable by choosing a convenient location in the house. Make sure the area is accessible and has enough space around the pet to perform the procedure.

What pet parents are saying

Dr. Alex took really good care of our girl Genie. He took time with her and us to make that day as easy at it could be. Thank you again!!

Dr. Doss made my Molly's transition a smooth one. He allowed me to take time to grieve and was patient with me. I could tell that he was very empathetic to my pain and CodaPet is a fantastic organization that went above and beyond the standard for what one may expect in a more clinical setting. Thank you so very much to both for helping me through this time of sorrow.
